The Buron, a candidate for the River Pearl PLUS label
The Buron, a small, wild river on a molasse bed, is a candidate for the Water Pearl PLUS label!
On 15 May WWF Switzerland and the River Pearl Association named two rivers in Romandy among the eight most beautiful natural rivers in Switzerland. WWF Switzerland handed the stone sculpture symbolising this nomination to the municipalities of Essertines-sur-Yverdon and Belmont-sur-Yverdon on 31 October.
It acknowledges the ecological value and natural character of this small Vaud river and encourages the two municipalities to have the Buron certified with the River Pearl PLUS label.
