Our jury once again honours particularly beautiful waters
This year’s Watercourse Ceremony will take place soon. On the 15th of May, we will be presenting further valuable river pearls and paying tribute to the people behind them.
This year, the association Gewässerperlen and WWF Switzerland are once again drawing attention to untouched streams and rivers. At the Watercourse Ceremony, we congratulate the municipalities situated alongside these waters and thank them for their commitment.
The event on the 15th of May will be hosted by Christa Rigozzi. She is part of an independent jury that decides for us which bodies of water are to be recognized. The other members of the jury are:
- Dr Christopher Robinson, head of the Stream Ecology Group at the ETH Domain’s aquatic research institute Eawag
- Joos Sutter, chairman of the board of directors at Coop Switzerland
- Julia Küng, former co-president of the Young Greens
- Julien Perrot, founder and editor of La Salamandre
- Roger de Weck, publicist
- Sandro Viletta, ski racer
- Valentin Stocker, footballer
We are looking forward to finding out which bodies of water and people will be honoured at this year’s ceremony in Zurich!
