River pearls
With the River Pearl PLUS label, we recognize untouched streams and rivers, as well as local people’s commitment to these waters. We have already awarded the label to some stretches of rivers. More will follow!

The Beverin and the Chamuera are the rivers that have been granted the River Pearl PLUS label. Here, we present the certified watercourse sections and the label holders in detail.

Ongoing certifications
The River Pearl PLUS label is attracting a great deal of interest. Certification processes are currently underway for the following waters and label holders, among others:
- Goldach, Goldach River Pearl PLUS association
- Roggenhauserbach, local community of Aarau
- Mässerbach, Binntal Landscape Park
- Breggia, communes of Castel San Pietro and Breggia

Recognised waters
Every year, an independent jury selects Swiss streams and rivers for us, which we recognize for their natural state and beauty. At the national Watercourse Ceremony, we thank the municipalities situated alongside these waters. We encourage them to consciously maintain the current state – for instance by getting certified with the River Pearl PLUS label.
